One of my favorite Filipino restaurant is Mesa Filipino Moderne. My first gastronomic experience with them is at their branch in Greenbelt. Since then, I added Mesa in our favorite restaurant. We are “suki” on their Metrodeal promo. Naikot na ata namin lahat ng branch nila because of that promo. hehe! We’ve been to Mesa Evia, Mesa Skyranch in Tagaytay and Mesa SM Ortigas. Oh di ba favorite talaga namin ang Mesa.
That’s why I’m very happy to know that Mesa is in Cavite na pala. Yes, they have branch in SM Dasma already. Sayang nga di ko nakita ang promo nila sa metrodeal. waaah!
Thankfully, my fellow Mom blogger, Lhourdes of Kitchen Mom, invited me to a food review in SM Dasma. Saan pa ba, eh di sa Mesa! ayiieeeee! ^_^

In Mesa – SM Dasma, they have function room good for 10 to 20 persons.
Perfect for business meeting, Christening, birthday party and Christmas party.
Consumable for P5,000 to P10,000.

Mas masarap kumain pag nasa couch! hihi…

I must admit it is one of the best Filipino restaurants in terms of price, ambiance, presentation of food (best in Showmanship sila eh) and variety of Filipino dishes that we love. It is more of Filipino dishes with authentic flavor, but they are given a different twist in the presentation. It would be best to eat here family-style, where you pass the dishes around since the serving sizes are good for 2-3 persons.

Our Yummy Lunch
Appetizer!

Tawilis with Mangga on Spoon (P145). Crispy Tawilis with sliced of mango
Vegetable dish!

Laing 2 Ways (P170). One of my favorite. Taro leaves, pork, shrimp paste and coconut cream topped with adobo flakes, served original and crispy.

Lots of Rice choices!

Tinapa Rice (P170). Stir-fried rice tossed with smoked fish flakes and topped with tomatoes and red salted egg.

Bagoong Rice (P165). Stir-fried rice tossed with shrimp paste with shredded green mango.

Best in Showmanship dishes!

River Shrimp (Suwahe) on the rocks (Rikki’s Favorite) (P295). This dish is cooked on the spot like steamed shrimp. The shrimps are thrown onto a hot bed of rocks and covered for a few minutes. Very fresh ang shrimp kaya manamis namis. 🙂

Salt Crusted Apahap. It is grilled with salt. Very fresh and it’s not salty. Ang galing!

Another breathtaking dish is the Crispchon. I really wanted to try this. Dito ko lang pala matitikman sa SM Dasma branch. ^_^

The Crispchon (P1050 for 1/6, P1400 for 1/4, P2400 for 1/2 and P4550 for whole)  is the signature dish at Mesa Filipino Moderne

It is served in two ways. First, they wrapped the skin and meat in pandan crepe wraps. The waiter will chop it up in front of you and can even do the wrapping for you. It’s eaten like Peking duck.  There were 3 sauces given but I enjoyed the garlic mayo sauce the most.

They cooked the rest of the lechon in chili & garlic. Either way, super sarap. hihi!

Bellichon Feast

They served us a sample of Bellichon feast. Feast F (P350/ person) in particular. It has Crispchon roll with spicy pork liver sauce, gising-gising, Kare-kare beef and tripe, soup, steamed rice (unlimited)

Dessert!

Kahit super busog na, there’s always room for dessert. They served us Crispy Leche flan (P75). It’s like turon but the filling is not banana, leche flan nga. Ang yummy…magawa nga din ito. 🙂

Now you know why Mesa is my favorite restaurant. Yummy food, affordable price, awesome service from the staff and Management team.

With fellow bloggers and Ms. Krizelle of Mesa SM Dasma!

Thank you for filling my tummy with your delicious food. I will be back. ^_^
