After attending the MBP Halloween party in Sky Ranch Tagaytay, the Gonzales Family had an staycation in SM Wind Residences. We booked it thru AirBnb. Have you heard about it yet? I’ll tell you more later.

When my parents in law told us that they also wanted to visit Tagaytay, Ryan and I decided to look for a hotel or condo near Sky Ranch, so we can stay overnight na din. Syempre yung budget friendly ang hinanap namin.

I’ve heard about AirBnb but hindi ko sya masyadong pinapansin kasi mas gusto namin magcheck either Deal Grocer, Metrodeal or Ensogo. So I tried to search in Airbnb, this is a website where you can rent unique places to stay from local host.

Air Bnb website

Browsing is easy, you will just type on search box where you want to go, the date when and for how many guest. When we search for Tagaytay near Sky Ranch, a lot of choices popped out, actually, majority is in SM Wind residences. It is very near Sky Ranch kasi. We’ve checked and scanned all the hosts and their units.

Luckily, we found good reviews in Mr. Jocel’s account. Before confirming our reservation, I have lots of queries muna, but Jocel answered it promptly. Let me tell you more about our staycation:

The unit is in a corner unit located at the 19th floor (out of 20) of Tower 1 of the SM Wind Residences, with its wide balcony facing the facilities and with a view of the Taal Volcano.

A very foggy Tagaytay, this is the view from the balcony!
It is fully furnished with a queen-sized bed . The room also has a wide sofa fronting the sunrise that can serve as an additional sleeping space.

The unit amenities:

– An induction cooktop with pots and pans

– A flatscreen TV

– A refrigerator

– A water dispenser with built-in heater,

– An electric fireplace that you can use when the temperature inside the unit is getting too cold.

The bathroom:

It is equipped with a water closet with a bidet and a water heater for the shower. Blankets and towels was provided. .

Tita Josie, mother of Jocel, welcomed us in their unit with hot choco and bananas. We really felt at home because of this gesture. We  had a great time staying in Tagaytay kahit may bagyo that time. And another good gesture of Ms. Josie is that when we checked out, she offered na ihatid na kami sa bus terminal since malakas nga ang hangin because of Typhoon Lando. Less hassle for us since may kasama kaming 2 senior citizens ( my parents in law) and one toddler (Rylee) plus our bags pa. We are very grateful to Ms. Josie for that.

It was our first time to try AirBnb and it did not disappoint. We had a great family bonding. The place is clean, we can cook our own food, the location is very near Sky Ranch and supermarkets. May 7/11 din sa ground floor kaya when we need something, dun na lang kami bumili. We will definitely go back in Jocel’s unit. Hindi kasi din namin na explore yung playground and swimming pool. hehe!
